Curriculum

This award provides recognition for the most outstanding curriculum re-design, enrichment, or renewal initiative developed by an educator team in an Islamic education setting in Australia.

This can be school-wide or subject specific.

Winner: Craig Burchell, Islamic College of Brisbane – Futsal Excellence Program

Co-curriculum

This award provides recognition for the most outstanding co-curricular program or initiative (including but not limited to special needs or learning support programs, physical activity or sporting programs, or co-curricular or before/after school Qur’an or Islamic studies programs) developed by an educator team in an Islamic education setting in Australia.

Winner: Ilim College – Hifz Enrichment Program

Pedagogy

This award provides recognition for the most outstanding pedagogical re-design / renewal initiative implemented in an Islamic educational setting in Australia.

The re-design / renewal can be school-wide or classroom/subject specific.

Winner: Leyla Mohamoud, Sidra School – Sidrah Gardens
Runner-Up: Unity Grammar Commerce Program

Learning Environments

This award provides recognition for the most outstanding learning environment design implemented in an Islamic educational setting in Australia.

To be eligible the project must have been completed in 2022.

Winner: Islamic College of Brisbane – Sakinah Greenhouse Gardens
Runner-Up: Ilim College

Wellbeing

This award provides recognition for the most outstanding program or initiative to improve student health and wellbeing implemented by an Islamic educational setting in Australia.

The program or initiative can apply to the whole school or a targeted group of learners.

Winner: Islamic College of Brisbane – “The Hub”
